30 Hours Free Childcare

At Rossington St Michael’s, we’re proud to support families by offering the government’s 30 Hours Free Childcare scheme. This initiative provides eligible working parents and carers with up to 30 hours of free early education or childcare per week, helping to ease the cost of childcare and support children’s development during their crucial early years.

What is 30 Hours Free Childcare?

The 30 Hours Free Childcare scheme offers up to 30 hours per week of funded childcare for children aged 3 and 4 years old (the term after their third birthday). This funding can be used during term time.

Who is Eligible?

You may be eligible for the 30 hours free childcare if:

  • You (and your partner, if you have one) are working*
  • You expect to earn at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week on average
  • Neither you nor your partner have an income over £100,000 per year

*Self-employed parents, those on zero-hours contracts, and those recently returned to work after parental leave may also qualify. Some exceptions apply.

How Can You Use the 30 Hours?

At Rossington St Michael’s, you can use the 30 Hours Free Childcare within our nursery provision, allowing your child to benefit from a nurturing, stimulating learning environment led by experienced staff.
