Collective Worship
Throughout our Collective Worship, children celebrate the values at the heart of our school: all are welcome, all are accepted, all achieve and all are loved.
An act of Collective Worship takes place every day and is a meaningful part of school life. It provides time and space for pupils and staff to come together to worship through learning, music, reflection and prayer. Our worship is inclusive and welcoming, offering all members of our school community the opportunity to participate while respecting the diversity of family beliefs and cultural backgrounds.
Our weekly pattern of Collective Worship is as follows:
Monday – Whole-school themed worship led by the Headteacher or Senior Leadership Team
Tuesday – Class-led worship using Picture News
Wednesday – Worship led by Reverend Neil or Reverend Carol, focusing on scripture and reflection
Thursday – Prayer and Praise
Friday – Celebration Assembly
Our Collective Worship Policy guides our approach to planning and delivery.
Collective Worship Policy 25-27
Reverend Neil and Reverend Carol visit each Wednesday to lead worship and share messages of faith and reflection. Throughout the week, Collective Worship is also led by teachers and the Headteacher, ensuring consistency and shared values across the school.
Every Friday, we hold a Celebration Assembly to recognise and honour our pupils’ achievements. Occasionally, whole classes plan and lead a worship session to which parents are warmly invited.
We also mark special occasions in the Christian calendar, including Harvest, Remembrance, Christmas, and Easter—often with support from members of our local church community.
